SheDay is the rhythmic and creative identity of Shideh Almasi, a NYC-based house and global dance music DJ known for her bright energy, feel-good selections, and playful command of the dancefloor. Born and raised in metro-Detroit in a Persian family, she grew up at the crossroads of the city’s foundational techno culture and the melodic, rhythm-forward traditions of her Middle Eastern roots — a dual influence that continues to shape everything she plays.

Classically trained on piano and violin, SheDay brings a deep musical ear to her DJ’ing, with a strong sense of phrasing, dynamics, and flow. Her sound lives at the intersection of groovy house, nu-disco warmth, and global electronic textures — think bouncy basslines, quirky vocal chops, and unexpected Middle Eastern elements woven into sets that make you grin while you move. She doesn’t follow a formula. Each set unfolds naturally, guided by feel, pacing, and the energy of the room.

SheDay has closed for Henry Fong on New Year’s Eve at Garden of Eden NYC, spun Halloween at Mood Ring, and recently played a standout Persian House set at Purgatory.
